Knowledge Management Overview

Purpose

The Knowledge Management screen is the main workspace to manage categories, import/export data, and run library-level actions.

Main sections

  • Search: Quickly filter categories by name.
  • [...] menu on each category:
    • Details: Open records inside the category.
    • Edit: Update name, description, and setup.
    • Duplicate: Create a copy from an existing category.
    • Delete: Remove the category and related data (if applicable).

Quick actions

  • Export Excel: Export categories for reporting or backup.
  • Import from Excel: Bulk import data; Smart Mode can infer relationships from rows that contain multiple category values.

Excel import notes

  • Use the system template whenever possible.
  • Follow the column format: Category Name - Field Name.
  • Choose duplicate handling carefully:
    • Overwrite existing items
    • Skip existing items
